Everything your kitchen needs to record

Built around the daily routine of a UK kitchen, in plain English. No training manual needed.

Fridge, freezer & hot hold checks

Staff tap an item, type the temperature and save. It tells them straight away if it is in range.

Cooked food probe checks

Core temperatures for every dish you cook or reheat, with the right target shown each time.

Delivery checks

Chilled and frozen deliveries checked on arrival: temperature, packaging and dates, accept or reject.

Daily diary

Opening and closing checks, notes, problems and what was done — one page per day, signed off by a manager.

Daily checklist

Everything that must be done today, ticked off or crossed out, with missed days easy to spot.

Monthly probe checks

Reminders and records for checking each probe thermometer is accurate.

Corrective actions

A failed check can’t be ignored: staff record what they did, and managers see anything still open.

Inspection-ready records

Print or download any day, week or month for an Environmental Health visit.

Staff PINs & multiple sites

Each person signs in with their own PIN, so every record shows who did it. Manage one kitchen or many.

How it works

1

Get set up

Your restaurant, fridges, freezers, hot holds and dishes are added, and each member of staff gets their own PIN.

2

Staff record checks

On any phone or tablet. The app shows what’s still to do today and warns if a reading is out of range.

3

You stay on top of it

Managers see the daily checklist, sort any problems and print records whenever an inspector asks.

Helps you keep the records UK food law expects

Food businesses must run a food safety management system based on HACCP principles and be able to show it is working. Good records are a big part of that.

  • Chilled food 8°C or below and hot food held at 63°C or above — the legal limits in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
  • Cooking checks at 75°C for 30 seconds (or another safe time and temperature you choose).
  • Scottish kitchens: reheated food must reach 82°C, which the app applies automatically.
  • Every record is time-stamped and tied to the person who made it. Records can’t be deleted, and any correction is logged.
  • Failed checks stay open until someone records what was done about them.

The app helps you keep records; it doesn’t make a business compliant on its own. You still need your own food safety procedures, trained staff and good practice in the kitchen. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the Food Standards Agency. “Safer Food, Better Business” is a Food Standards Agency food safety pack.
